My expectations were shattered!!!

I'll just say there's a whole load of people that can't play this game, or any game; no modern or ez mode will help them. If kof is hard, sf6 is harder. It seems to me devs don't understand how low the real common level of players is, when they make the games faster and more complex. Now can i get to platinum with only 3 hit combos, that's the question

@@Oyajigunsmith Nah don't pay attention to the ranks. They've made the ranks very easy to achieve. The points requirements are too narrow in gaps especially when you get a win streak too. Diamond is when the grind starts because you don't get any bonuses anymore. As for how to get to platinum. You can pretty much get to diamond with only a few things. 1. Anti air. 2. Returning sweeps and DIs. 3. 1 bnb combo, and 1 drc combo (usually from a low starter like 2MK), and 1 punish counter combo. With those 3 things it's hella likely you'll reach master too. As for how hard this game is, yeah I think sf6 can be pretty hard at times. It's very mentally taxing with the amount of things you have to keep track of. Same reason why kof13 was difficult. But still in comparison it seems more mentally taxing. Just having a DI in the equation fucks with a LOT of the decision making. They're fully reactable 100% of the time if you look at the framedata, but due to the mental stack sometimes you can eat a clean raw DI despite it being slow af. Even doing the parry can be a literal guess and can get you screwed over fully if you do it at the wrong time. It's kinda like in SF3s where parries basically make everything you do questionable.

That's interesting, code mystics said this is a port of the rom, but when i search for unlock codes, there are codes for gouki and karate but not for Arremer and Athena. Either way, the game has lots of weird hitboxes which I don't think the devs would be satisfied with. I think I'll ask code mystics a few more questions...

@@Oyajigunsmith I can guarantee you that the ONLY way to play Red Arremer and Athena on MVS and AES is through a Unibios ( which by the way was NOT installed on official mvs cabs and was NOT readily available in the modding scene until after the commercial death of NG...think 2005 onwards) I was and still am one of those neogeo crazies who kept buying AES games on release day in Japan until the last official release in 2004. Code mystics surely used the ps2/xb port ( which was a hacked rom pretty much)

@signorpaldoni the ps2 version had extra dialogues for Athena and Red Arremer so I think this release is a tweaked ng rom. I'm still not convinced the game was ready to be released but another thing to consider the rush was the fact that SNKP was about to go bankrupt! There was no chance to delay it. Have a look at the link in the description and see what you think.

They do work but it's a more strict control. The charge characters are stronger but more difficult to play. You cannot hold diagonals for them. You can only hold down or back. The charge time is half the usual time! Try it! I don't like it but that's how it works.

Don't forget China already censored Mai and Angel in KOF XV ! SNK has to do these things to release the game in these regions!

That's another job completely. A good question though. People complained about the cvs2 roll bug but when they fixed it in the GameCube release, nobody seemed to want to play it! SVC is a very old game, not sure anyone cares about the balance any more

CVS2 devs knew about roll cancelling before the game came out They kept quiet about it to keep a competitive advantage because some of the devs were players

Some Devs aren't very smart. Did they really think no other players would find out and play better? Hmm I think there's a bit more to this story....

I often complained about the balance in this game but some players told me that it's amazing to see Sagat, Cammy and Blanka over and over again
